The ylang-ylang (pronounced ee-lang ee-lang) is a large tree producing yellow flowers with long trailing petals and a strong aromatic scent. Native to Malaysia and Indonesia, but has naturalized throughout most of the larger Pacific Island groups, Northern Australia, Thailand, and Vietnam. |

Morphology

Large tree, sometimes up to 50-75ft tall. Grows best in frost free climates and must be protected from freezing or near freezing temperatures. Naturally grows in warm, moist, humid regions. |
